Inside The Lines
Fear of Invisible Failure, A Poem
Tighten your boot straps like they’re expectations, scuff the soles while running from yourself Brush off the leather while you make amends with god, yourself, or whoever— just don’t stop trying to keep pace Replace laces when they fray, or just drag them along beside you, waiting for the moment you inevitably trip And these boots might last a lifetime if you’re careful, but when haven’t you been? Cause the pavements run thin where you’ve walked it, following in whose footsteps? Forgetting you aren’t meant to skip each crack in the path, still confining yourself inside each line for fear of some invisible failure that surely wouldn’t be yours if it came true And there are drag paths all around where others have been— made by shoes, worn for nobody but themselves - Forbes
This ones quite different for me, I think I’m getting good at expanding my topics which is so funnn!
